Aspects of History is pleased to announce the launch of a new, major independent publisher. Marshal Books.

At a time when many presses are cutting their lists or seeing sales contract, it’s refreshing to report on a good news story.

Marshal Books will be going live with its first wave of titles in October. Marshal Books will specialise in in publishing and promoting established authors writing in commercial genres (including historical fiction, crime/thrillers and history).

Marshal Books is a traditional publisher. There are no costs to the authors. Its titles will be published in hardback, paperback and Kindle editions. As well as publishing full-length titles, Marshal Books will also focus on shorter works of 25,000+ words. 

Marshal Books have already signed up several bestselling authors – and will partner with various outlets, including Aspects of History and Aspects of Crime, to promote their titles. They work with agents and authors direct to commission projects. They will aim to match authors to a new readership, as well as tap into a writer’s existing following. 

Marshal Books are currently accepting submissions by established authors.
