Aspects of History is delighted to announce the launch of our History Book Club.
Every two months we will profile and promote a title from one of our contributors. We will interview the author about their classic title, discussing the content of the book and its legacy.
We hope that you will get involved by reading, or re-reading, the book club choice. You will be welcome to submit a question to the author too, in an interview which will feature both in our magazine and on our website. You can submit questions to history@aspectsofhistory.com Also, do let us know what you think of the book.
The titles will be specially selected by our editor and advisory panel, reflecting the diversity of periods that Aspects of History covers – and the sheer talent of our contributors.
The current schedule for the History Book Club is as follows:
August
Catherine the Great and Potemkin: The Imperial Love Affair, by Simon Sebag-Montefiore
October
Forgotten Victory: The First World War. Myths and Realities, by Gary Sheffield
December
1812: Napoleon’s Fatal March on Moscow, by Adam Zamoyski
February
White King: The Tragedy of Charles I, by Leanda de Lisle
We look forward to hearing from you.
